チベット・スノーライオン友愛会はNGO団体であり、インドにいるチベット難民の青少年が教育を受けるチャンスを得られるよう、また日本においてチベットの現状や、文化が広がるようにと願い、1987年9月に代表の森田藤子によって京都で設立された。申し訳ないですが、NGOとしては税制優遇 寄付金控除が受けられません。

また、友愛会は2000年7月より『日本カム基金』というプロジェクトを立ち上げ、東チベットカム「現在中国の四川省に編入」において新しい活動を展開している。チベット全土をカバーすることは困難なので、まず外国から援助の届きにくいカム地方の子供と若者が教育を受けるチャンスを得られるよう、また地域医療向上を目指して、地域に根ざしたチベット医学の良い医師を育てることを目的としている。

チベットスノーライオン友愛会と日本カム基金(TIBET AID,Japan)は一般の方々からの寄付金で運営されている。皆様から寄せられる御寄付を出来るだけ多くの方に役立てるために、代表や2名のスタッフ、ヴォランティア、またインドとチベット在住の現地スタッフは皆仕事を持ちながら無給で団体の為に奉仕している。代表は事務所を無償で団体に提供し、友愛会インド代表と日本カム基金チベット代表も事務所を団体に無償で提供している。

Tibetan Snowlion Friendship Society (TIBET AID,Japan )is a recognised NGO which has been founded in Kyoto in September 1987 for the purpose of providing educational opportunities for Tibetan refugee children and youths living in India , and to promote Tibetan culture in Japan .

TIBET AID,Japan started working under the name 「Nihon Kham Kikin」in Eastern Tibet,which is now a part of Sichuan,China. We have chosen this part of Tibet,because no foreign agency is helping there,yet. Our aim is, to give children and youth from extremely poor Tibetan families a chance to go to school, to help decrease the illiteracy of young Tibetan adults, to help raise the medical standards in that part of Tibet, to increase the quantity and quality of Tibetan medical doctors, and to help extremely poor farmers become self-reliant. Nihon Kham Kikin was founded in July 2000.

Management of TIBET AID,Japan (Tibetan Snowlion Friendship Society & Nihon Kham Kikin)

The Snowlion Friendship Society & Nihon Kham Kikin is funded by donations from individuals. Office operations are purposefully kept to a minimum. The office consists of the President, Mrs Fujiko Morita, who is also the founder of the society, and two fulltime staff members. In addition, it is comprised of Japanese volunteers and volunteer staff in India , and three Tibetan volunteers who are working for the society without payment, but who have their own jobs. The office space in Japan is being provided free of charge by the President and the offices in India and Tibet are also being provided free of charge by our Indian and Tibetan representatives.
Our motto is to use as much donated money as possible for the welfare of the needy and to reduce office expenses as much as possible.
